Amelia and Zach were hoping for snow and but what we got instead was a 50 degrees, a little snow, and a lot of laughs. It certainly made me happy! We started off at Summer’s Christmas Tree Farm in Middleton for some cute outdoorsy photos. I just love this farm and their sweet little puppy joined us for a bit too! What a cutie! After spending a little time hanging out there, we then headed downtown to the Edgewater to take advantage of their gorgeous holiday decor. The ice skating rink was empty and waiting for us. It was meant to be!
Morgan + Thomas It all started 6 years ago with Thomas wearing a pair of bunny ears and asking Morgan to prom after following a crazy trail of Easter eggs with a code inside. Of course she said yes, I mean come on! How cute is that??? They went as friends but fell in love […]
Six years ago, Erik met Laurie in his hometown Philly while playing a hot and intense game of badminton. It was true love at first birdie! Since then, they moved to Madison, got a really cute dog named Kima, and planned a beautiful, offbeat, nature inspired wedding. There were many moments that really stood out to me and Heidi but the best part was one we couldn’t photograph. The bride and groom walked down the isle to The Talking Heads! How fun is that? Definitely one of my all time favorite bands.
Aldo Leopold Nature Center is located just about 5 minutes from my studio. I’ve been there many times, my son has gone to camp there, but I have never shot a wedding there before this! It was so much fun and beautiful and there were so many opportunities for photos! Everyone was so open, candid and friendly, emotional, loving and you could tell they all really cared about Laurie and Erik. We really enjoyed capturing the essence of this magnificent day. Congratulations to the happy couple!
This gorgeous day really came together with some wonderful vendors including a sweet taco bar from Blue Plate! Here is a little list of everyone involved!
I am opening my doors to show off my new space. Same building, opposite end. Great view (No more parking lot!), a couple of sand hill cranes named Doug and Carrie and a lot head space!
This is in celebration of the new year, but I am also celebrating 10 YEARS of being in business!!!!
Andrew and Sky’s wedding was a Christmas holiday theme dream wedding. The church was spectacularly decorated in Sun Prairie at Sacrted Hearts. And Oh My Goodness did they do an amazing job decorating the reception at Gacier Canyon!!! Wow, I can’t even explain how beautiful everything was. Check out Sky’s amazing design skills!
It was a bit cold and we didn’t get to go outside much but Heidi and I did manage to capture a few shots outside at their farm. Everyone was brave and went for it. I was so proud! Oh for the sake of art. And it was worth it!
Last summer, we had one of those completely unplanned moments where my husband suddenly decided to take us for an airplane ride. We were at Confectionique taking some photos for BRAVA Magazine and I brought Mikey and Wes with because I thought they might like to look at the planes while I did my photoshoot. […]
