Ben was making Julia laugh the entire time as we quickly ran through the field at Owen Conservancy before the rain hit. The clouds were looming which made for some truly beautiful golden hour light. And with their lovely gigantic smiles, we were able to get lots of beautiful shots in before we were drenched running from the unpredictable Wisconsin weather.
Tomorrow, is their wedding day in downtown Madison and I am closely watching the news with the big fire at MG&E. All of the Isthmus is down without power and the temperatures are rising. The Madison Club is their reception venue which is only a few blocks away from the source! I hope they work quickly and safely to get power restored for all of the people living and working downtown in this crazy heat. And for the bride and groom, hopefully there are some backup generators!
This beautiful fall day was perfect for Holly and Eric’s engagement session. We had so much fun together throwing leaves and watching the ducks swim around. Their love for each other was so evident and their laughter contagious. I am so excited for their wedding day this coming weekend at Aldo Leopold. I can’t wait […]
Olin Turville Park off of John Nolen Dr. and the Memorial Union have some of the most beautiful and meaningful locations in the entire Madison area. Most couples who went to UW Madison enjoy time together at the Union and these two are no exception. This session was really fun because Lindsay and Jimmy were willing and ready to go out even if it was raining! I always keep a couple of cute umbrellas in the car so busted it out for them so we could run around in it singing and dancing. Ok, well, maybe not the last part. It only lasted a little while anyway and then we had such beautiful light afterwards! I would also like to take a moment and just say how incredible her legs are! Amiright???? Jimmy’s legs aren’t bad either 😉
Jimmy and Lindsay have known each other for over 12 years but finally realized that there was something really special between them. Friendships don’t always end up in the friend zone…They like to go out with friends, hit up many of the amazing restaurants around town and have been enjoying Wisconsin’s winter weather and the fun sports activities that come with it. Hopefully it doesn’t all melt this week and they can enjoy more of it!
I am really looking forward to their wedding this weekend and will have another exciting blog post for that in a couple of weeks. For now, enjoy this really beautiful couple and think about summer!
When a figure skater and a hockey player fall in love… It reminds me a little bit of The Cutting Edge! Toooooeeee pick! Well, no one was yelling that out but I’m sure there were some jokes about it in their lifetime. I will probably giggle about that for a while now. They got […]
These two cool cats are gettin’ hitched today! I’ve enjoyed getting to know them and also shooting this really fun session in Columbus. Nic is a firefighter so we got to go hang out at the station for a while. Check out the shananigans!
Late last summer I had another opportunity to travel down to Chicago and do an engagement session with Danielle and Alex! What I like about Chicago is that you can take photos after sunset and get some really cool and fun night photos. Today, I am really looking forward to today and spending some more […]
Sky and Andrew are getting married tomorrow! I loved their engagement session at their home and lovely farm. We get to go back for sunset on the wedding day too! Their daughter Sofia was so cute in her little red boots. I can’t wait to see her all dolled up for the big day. And there is snow! Finally!
